Kwanchai Lichaikul is a Thai artist known for his unique approach to storytelling through bird’s-eye view paintings, which reflect the lives of people in contemporary society.
His work is distinguished by a meticulous black ink line drawing technique on a white background, which he developed from the traditional Thai painting style known as “Sin Tao.” These intricate lines convey his personal perspective on social, political, and religious issues, as well as his questions about the meaning of life in today’s world.
His work has been featured in major exhibitions including the Thailand Biennale, Korat (2021) and Bangkok 242 at Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (2024).
