Info
Saturday Paintersis a collective of contemporary painters brought together through a diversity of ages and artistic experiences. Although each artist works with distinct approaches, they share a common ground in questioning and exploring the possibilities of “painting” within the contemporary context.
The group was founded out of a desire to create alternative spaces within the art world, without adhering to the conventional exhibition format of the white cube. Instead, they initiate activities and develop exhibition platform using the group’s own resources, opening up opportunities for experimentation, dialogue, and more flexible forms of presentation.
Saturday Paointers is not only a gathering of artists, but also a space for questioning, understanding and expanding the boundaries of contemporary painting toward greater diversity and openness.
